This project has taken me many months to complete. I bought the kit made in the USA by a company called Fantastic Plastic, many years ago and just kept it on a shelf. I then found out that there was a lighting kit for it also produced in the States. When this arrived I put the two together and shelved them. It was a few months back when I decided to build the kit and install the lighting. To say it was very time consuming and difficult is an understatement! After following the lighting instructions, which explained how to manipulate the parts of the ship to fit in 74 red LED bulbs, arranged in banks to create the required effect. Also a switch had to be installed, two power supplies, circuit board and a magnetic switch to increase the speed of the rotating lights. Slowly the ship and lighting started to take shape and with a few minor adjustments I got there. Hope you like the pictures and keep watching the skies!
